    Akili specializes in working with couples and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD/ADD, teenagers, he has worked with clients facing a wide range of challenges, including but not limited to depression, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, ptsd, behavioral issues, and issues within the relationship and family bond. Additionally, he’s collaborated with parents both in the home and on the residential level to provide support for families and children. He prides himself on his work with military veterans and the daily traumas they may face. He believes that, while daunting, the mental health journey is a lifelong process that can be truly beautiful.

    Akili’s approach is centered around the individual. His goal is to help people embrace their authenticity and to find their voice. He believes that people often have the answers they need – they just don’t know it yet. Therapeutic modalities used include REBT, CBT, Positive Psychology, ACT, and Gottman Method. Akili also utilizes multimedia resources, oftentimes with an emphasis on music and creativity.
